As my first project I would like to create 6 different ecosystems. The past two and a half years I learned about the concept of “Permaculture” and food forests. This concept is a modest and more natural way of farming, instead of going against nature and all the natural elements that damage modern farming like insects, fungus, weather, etc, permaculture uses these elements to aid farming. Using the principle of a forest which is composed of multi-layers and that acknowledges that diversity is the key to a healthy and productive ecosystem, I want to create my own species of flora and fungi and create 6 ecosystems with this plants and mushrooms.

In the past week I was commissioned to paint a Fly Agaric mushroom in a traditional medium, and that had an impact on me. I always liked drawing plants and mushrooms, but, whenever I looked at my digital pieces it seemed less interesting to me. However, by doing this commission I felt a lot more passion into painting these natural elements with my hands and paint rather than with a digital tablet on a screen. So this created a internal struggle of weather I should use my go to digital software to sketch this plants and fungi or if I should sketch them digitally and then proceed to create the final piece with paint and paper.
