Wix Feedback Form

Image
Wix Feedback Form of UI & UX    In class I did the form of UI & UX testing to get reviews and feedback on my website. To create that form I used good forms. I added about 8 questions regarding the home page design, gallery page design, about me page, contact page, navigation, overall design of the website, device of the testing and a place to give feedback. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScvZfjwMMcncYggXov3GJVtZz0TmQSOp-FXtFB7o06LyysrNQ/viewform I got 5 reviews and the feedback was overall very positive. The contact page has then been tweaked, I tried correcting some issues regarding the disfiguration of the website when accessed through phone, however I still have more changes to make. And the gallery will be something I will update next. This feedback was very useful as it pointed out certain things that I wouldn’t have realised otherwise.

Wix Contact Page

Image
Wix Contact Page    The contact page according to the teacher was fine. It was readable, the composition was fine, it did not expose any personal information. To be honest I didn’t change much from the original template. I enjoyed the template one as it was simple and effective, so, I just changed the chromatic scheme and translated everything to English. Original template contact page (Still in portuguese). After the changes. Interestingly enough, I had some criticism by a reviewer saying that it beats the purpose having a “Contact” page without any email address or anyway of contacting personally, besides the contact form. I somewhat agree, I would not have minded adding the email address I created for this subject, however it was one of the important rules to follow when creating a website contact page, so I followed the rule.

Wix About Me Page Adjustments

Image
Wix About Me Page Adjustments For this section of the website, I was told the photo was good as it is a clear self-portrait of me, and it showcases my work in one picture. I was very glad about the result of this image! The text was reviewed as good, therefore I felt confident in posting it, however I was advised to keep the layout of the page horizontal instead of vertical. I did that adjustment by putting the image and the text side by side instead of having the picture above the text. I’m not sure I enjoy this result more but it seems more compressed and probably more appealing to the viewer. Before After

Wix Home Page Adjustments

Image
Wix Home Page Adjustments After having my website reviewed, I was given some tips for how to deal with my home page as there were one small issue with it, which was the amount of work being showcased made it feel more like a scrolling gallery instead of a simple introductory home page. So, the options that were recommended to me were, opting out only 2/4 of those art pieces to showcase, therefore shortening the home page, or, selecting just one of the pieces and use it as a background to the homepage. I tried both to see which one I prefer. I liked the one art piece as background approach, however the text popped out way less and even the art piece did not stand out. It became a lot more colourful, but I feel like it is not what I’m going for. I used one of the art pieces that had a purple background to make the yellow tittles pop out, then I started doing small adjustments to make it darker by removing exposition, lowering the gamma, desaturating a bit and remove the contrast a b...

Cryptid Research (Dobhar-Chú)

Image
Cryptid Research (Dobhar-Chú) Dobhar chú is the water dog cryptid. Described as half dog and half fish or even the king otter. The origin comes from the folklore of Ireland. Supposedly the name Dobhar chú has its origins in other Celtic languages. It is said that the cause of her death was engraved in her headstone as “Killed by Chobhar-Chú”. The first ever appearing of such a legend was in the 17 th century, where in the county of Leitrim this cryptid was said to attack and kill a local woman. This Cryptid is often depicted as a stretched dog like figure with body and legs like the ones of a dog, long and strong tail and depth of rib. I will showcase below various artists representations of the cryptid. https://coffeeandcreatures.co.uk/2019/07/09/dobhar-chu-irish-folklore/ https://www.deviantart.com/nightmarehound/art/Dobhar-Chu-189943871 https://cryptozoology.fandom.com/wiki/Dobhar-chu https://cryptozoology.fandom.com/wiki/Dobhar-chu
