Tell Me A Story
Tell Me A Story
For the major project I am going to do 4 multicoloured lino cuts based on prehistoric caveman paintings.
The story part of it is a bit more complicated to think of, as cave paintings were mostly about hunting. I thought about the story of "Brother Bear" (2003), in this Disney movie the main character must come with grips with the death of loved ones and in a way understand and respect the circle of life and other animals.

I remembered also of the story of the oldest sign of human compassion, a toothless almost 2 million year old skull of a human descendant that survived years without any teeth, proving that in order to survive for so long members of his tribe must have been helping him find soft foods and even prepare them for him.
A theme that so often comes to mind is the circle of life. The death of an entity and the birth of others around it.
